Then the bees came
They whispered my husband’s name
They took him away
On a wintry day
My life was never the same

After the bees came
My life was never the same
I lost what was mine
My tears flowed like wine
But the bees were not to blame

The bees were not to blame
They did not lay claim
Cancer took him away
On a blustery day
Then the bees came

And whispered my name
