The Light of Ages
by Bing Hua
Tr. Liu Mei

Ages
Are just like zigzag roads
The scenery that has been longed for
Is always missed
Numerous crooked roads
Numerous missed paths
How should I start my new steps

The sun is going down westwards
And the flints knock out sparks
Crimson clouds
Are impressively astonishing
The scenery that has been longed for
Drops from the skies in a second

However
The moonlight
And the vicissitudes of the moonlight
Have transfused into the hair roots

Tears that have been stored inside
Flush the zigzag roads
Into the harbor

From the harbor
Paddles out the Sailboat of Spring
The sightseeing that has been desired so long
Has become the new legend

Under the moonlight
The silver hair roots
Are even more gorgeous than red roses
That is
The Time Rose
Emitting the blazing sunshine of life
