Shrimp with Candied Walnuts in White Sauce.
from the international kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St. John

1 pound of large shrimp peeled and deveined
1/2 cup cornstarch
4 egg whites
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup candied walnuts (see recipe January 2006 and/or 2007)

Steam the shrimp. Drain. Mix cornstarch and egg
whites together to form a thick, sticky texture and
mix well with shrimp. Set aside. Mix honey,
mayonnaise, and condensed milk together
in a medium bowl until smooth. Fold the honey
mayonnaise mixture into the shrimp.
Mix well, sprinkle with the candied walnuts,
and arrange on a warm platter.

Food fact:

Honey is the only food made for man by insects.
If you have pollen allergies, eat a teaspoonful of
local honey every morning to combat pollen allergies.
Make certain it is from bee hives within a 50 mile
radius of your home.

I have put honey on severe burns to keep from scarring.

Do not give honey to babies.
