Days of Praise
by Judy Lorenzen

After white late-April snow melts,
May sings green everywhere
jazzing up this winter-weary acreage–
deepening verdant pastures and fields.
Jeweled birds sow songs in the air,
lacing lyrics in emerald branches.
Fluffy whole-note-shaped clouds float by
in the key of love in sapphire skies.
Soon purple bellflowers
ring in contentment.
All of May, nature blooms praise–
He who has ears, let him hear.
