Ekphrasis
by Sharmagne Leland-St.John

Winter harbour
Aegean Sea
water cold and dark
beaches now
devoid of tourists
who in summer
choked your narrow
winding streets
marvelled at
the ancient ruins
crumbling at their feet
a storm is on the way
the clouds don't lie
ignoring nature's warning
a skiff heads out to sea
