The most beautiful autumn forest in the world, by Sanghyan Jeong

Colorful Goodbye
by Gay Williford

A warm orange glow
settles over my leaf-carpeted
path through woods whose
stark black trunks contrast
sharply with the colorful
leafy canopies they support.
The late afternoon sun slants
through these majestic trees
adorned in bright red, gold
and yellow attire.
The sun itself, a distant
ethereal light, seems to be christening
these woods, in its brief closing glory
as fall readies for the winter season.
Autumn’s stage bow is a stunning
farewell to be imprinted
forever in memory.
