Take No For An Answer
by Patrick T. Randolph

Take no for an answer and find yourself
Some crazy morning perched like a robin
On the tops of the sugar maple trees!
Climb beyond any notion of the stars
Or across a sea’s boisterous belly!
Dance from one continent to another
Singing at the top of your lungs a song
So melodious and clean that it will
Grow like wildfire in the ears of all men
And curious women who’ve stopped to stare—
Tripping over their grins, as their eyes smile
At the oddly beautiful thing called—you!
