Epilogue
The next day Luna woke up to see Tara looking at her with a big smile on her face.
Luna could see the excitement in Tara face as she said;
“I have wonderful news, we have a beautiful pond for you just down the hill from our house and we can visit you everyday.
There are other turtles & pretty fish and newts that live there too that you can make friends with. We all agree you are old enough to take care of yourself now.”
Luna couldn’t believe the good news. She really enjoyed her adventure out into the world, and now she would be living in her very own pond.
They all walked down to the pond with Luna. It was as beautiful as Tara had said it was.
The scent of flowers filled the air, and the sun shone down warming her shell. What a lovely feeling.
The newts, fish and other creatures that lived in the pond took an interest in Luna as she was slowly and carefully put down on the shoreline.
Luna dove right in and swam around in a circle so she could see them all on the shoreline.
She was followed by the beautiful golden fish that lived there, and even a newt swam by and waved hello and said "Welcome to our world!"
'What a wonderful surprise. What a beautiful day!'
Thought Luna as she took in the new world around her.
